Payday Plan is a real app in a single file. Open it and it shows one honest number: what is safe to spend between now and your next paycheck, after your bills, your cushion and your once-a-year costs have already been set aside. No accounts, no subscriptions, no cloud, no spreadsheet formulas to break.
How It Works:
1. Download the file and save it somewhere you will find it again.
2. Double-click it. It opens in your browser like a web page.
3. A short guided setup asks three things: what you have, when you get paid, what goes out on its own.
4. Log spending in three words — type "coffee 4.50" and press enter.
5. The number on Today looks after itself from there.

WHY IT IS NOT A SPREADSHEET:
A spreadsheet cannot hold money back for a bill that has not arrived. It cannot tell you the first day a purchase becomes affordable. It cannot notice that a variable bill has been creeping up for three months. Payday Plan does all three, because it is software, not a grid of formulas.
